Home

Designed like no other hotel on earth, with confidence, restrained taste, and the Icelandic devotion to eclecticism, Home sets the bar for a comfort-based approach to the luxury experience in a residence hotel.
Centrally located in downtown Reykjavik, the five suites of Home occupy the whole of the locally cherished corrugated iron town house which sits between the world-renowned party street, Laugavegur, and key Iceland historical site, the Latin School of Iceland, which educated most of Iceland's leaders, among them the active President, and from which Iceland's Nobel Laureate Halldor Laxness unceremoniously dropped out.
With its location, one could simply sit at the window, watching the Prime Minister go to work in his office only half a block away, and watching the fishermen unload their catch from Faxafloi Bay, clearly visible from Home's hilltop perch, and get a comprehensive feel for  the ebb and flow of Reykjavik.
