The Viking Challenge tours are filled with awesome adventure activities that are fun, while providing insight into Iceland’s culture and daily life. You’ll be based in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland - in accommodations ranging from tourist class to first class hotel. From there the daily activities take you right into the heart of Iceland’s nature, with some adventures, and fun ways to experience Iceland’s unique natural world.

VIKING CHALLENGE FAMILY TOUR for families with children of 6 and older
This multi-activity program is based for 6 nights in Reykjavík using family friendly accommodation in different comfort and price categories. It’s slow travel at a family friendly pace!
Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY
Check-in at your family room. We offer a selection of 3 star and 4 star hotels.
Day 2: REYKJAVÍK
Start your Viking Challenge with a private 3 hour customized family friendly city tour to introduce you to Iceland’s capital. Afternoon free for leisure - you could visit Viðey Island or Reykjavik’s farm animal zoo and family park.
Day 3: SEA ANGLING
The whole family will enjoy a fishing trip out into Faxaflói bay and the best part is that your catch will be prepared for you on board. Afternoon free for leisure.
Day 4: BIKING
In the morning you can visit a local swimming pool or some of the cities excellent small museums with your Reykjavík Welcome Card. In the afternoon, you’ll have a private 3-4 hour bike tour which takes you to the lighthouse and large bird pond of the Seltjarnarnes peninsula.
Day 5: TREASURE HUNT, HORSES & VIKINGS
Morning treasure hunt in Reykjavík and after a light lunch you’ll enjoy a 30 minutes horseback riding tour in the lava fields outside Reykjavík. Visit the Viking village and Bessastaðir, the home of the Icelandic president.
Day 6: WHALES AND THE BLUE LAGOON
Whale & bird watching cruise in the morning, and in the afternoon you’ll visit the famous Blue Lagoon.
Day 7: DEPARTURE DAY

is for those 14 and up. This vibrant multi-activity program is based for 6 nights in Reykjavík with a choice of accommodations.

Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY

Day 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE & WHITE RIVER RAFTING
You’ll visit Þingvellir National Park, Geysir hot springs and Gullfoss waterfall. Then experience Iceland’s glacial rivers with a 2 hour white river rafting through some exciting rapids and deep gorges. Lunch included. Duration 10 hours.
Day 3: GLACIAL HIKE & ICE CLIMBING
See the lovely landscape of South Iceland, including the dramatic Skógafoss waterfall. You’ll experience glaciers on a 4 hour guided glacial walk & ice climbing adventure. Packed lunch included. Duration 9 hours.
Day 4: ATV RIDE & BLUE LAGOON
The moon or Iceland? Decide for yourself during a 3-4 hour ATV-adventure on the volcanic Reykjanes peninsula and the Mid-Atlantic ridge. Then soak it off in the afternoon with a relaxing bath at the famous Blue Lagoon. Duration 9-10 hours.
Day 5: TREASURE HUNT, HORSES & WHALES
Test your knowledge of Reykjavík with a Treasure Hunt in the morning. Midday you’ll have a 2 ½ to 3 hour ride on Iceland’s famous horses (less experienced riders have a shorter option). In the afternoon you’ll have a whale & bird watching cruise from Reykjavík harbor. Duration 11-12 hours. Light lunch included.
Day 6: HIKING CHALLENGE
Today you’ll see Iceland on your own two feet, with a 4-6 hour hike into the mountains and volcanic landscape of Southwest Iceland. Hiking distance about 12-17 km. Duration with transfers 6-8 hours.

after we receive your booking by email, you will get a short reconfirmation from us by email. Payment is due latest 4 weeks prior to arrival and vouchers and detailed itinerary will be sent after receipt of final payment. This concept will assure an interactive relation between you and our company and we can assist you with any personal needs you might have.
CANCELLATIONS
A cancellation fee of 10% of the tour price and accommodation will be retained us for cancellations made from 1 month to 14 days before departure. From 14 days until 48 hours before departure, the fee is 50%. No refund is possible for cancellations less than 48 hours before departure, or for no shows, and a tour begun, but not completed. The exchange of one arrangement for another must be agreed by us beforehand.
